Automotive Cybersecurity & Vehicle Regulations
Be ready before 2027.
AIS-189 and AIS-190 become enforceable in India from 2027, and fewer than 15% of Indian OEMs have started implementing. This is the cohort that puts you ahead of the hiring scramble.
The compliance wave is here. Most engineers are not ready.
From 2027, AIS-189 and AIS-190 cybersecurity compliance become enforceable for vehicles in India. Today, fewer than 15% of Indian OEMs have even begun implementation – and that gap is about to become a hiring scramble. Every OEM and Tier-1 will need engineers who understand UN-R155 and R156, ISO/SAE 21434, TARA and CSMS. Right now, almost nobody in the market has structured, India-specific training in any of it. This cohort puts you ahead of that wave while it is still early.
What you’ll walk away able to do
- Explain UN-R155 / R156 and AIS-189 / AIS-190, and exactly what they demand of OEMs and suppliers
- Apply ISO/SAE 21434 across the full product lifecycle
- Run a TARA – and read someone else’s with confidence
- Describe what a CSMS is and how compliance actually flows through an organisation
- Navigate the Indian type-approval route: MoRTH, ARAI, ICAT, CMVR
- Speak the language fluently enough to contribute on the job and stand out in interviews
Who it’s for
Built for practising engineers.
- A practising embedded or automotive engineer who wants to move into the fast-growing cybersecurity and compliance niche
- A testing or validation engineer looking to step up into security and software roles
- An engineering team lead who needs to understand CSMS and 21434 well enough to run compliance-aware projects
- An experienced engineer returning after a career break, re-entering on a high-demand, future-proof skill
Probably not for you if: you have no engineering or embedded background at all.
