[Live Cohort] Automotive Cybersecurity & Vehicle Regulations – Cohort 3 (Dec 2026, Evening)

Cohort 3 (evening batch) – starts Monday 7 December 2026. A live, practitioner-led, hands-on cohort that takes you from automotive cybersecurity standards to working implementation: cryptography in C, HSM and secure boot, AUTOSAR security configuration, a full TARA and audit-ready evidence.

UN R155/R156 already apply to new vehicle types in many markets, and India’s AIS-189 cybersecurity roll-out is in draft. OEMs and Tier-1s need engineers who can implement ISO/SAE 21434, TARA and CSMS, not only describe them. Every pillar here comes with a guided lab in our hosted lab (labs.micromotiv.com, runs in your browser), so you finish with code, configurations and work products you built yourself.

Schedule and terms

  • Starts: Monday 7 December 2026. Enrolment closes Friday 4 December, 11:59 PM IST.
  • Live sessions: 7:00 to 8:30 PM IST on weekdays, after office hours. Every session is recorded.
  • Duration: 6-8 weeks, up to 30 live sessions, with a break over Christmas and New Year.
  • Fee: ₹40,000 (programme value ₹50,000). Prefer to split it? ₹25,000 now and ₹15,000 four weeks later, after your next salary credit. Join a free Sunday Live Lab first and the cohort is ₹35,000 for attendees (or ₹20,000 now and ₹15,000 later).
  • Guarantee: email within 7 days of the first class for a full refund, no questions asked.
  • Lab access: free for the first two months, then an optional subscription.

Six pillars, one lab each

  • Pillar 1 – Foundations and Threats (5 days). CIAAA, attack trees, the standards landscape, CAN injection and remote attacks. Lab: attack a virtual CAN bus.
  • Pillar 2 – Applied Cryptography for Embedded Engineers (7 days). AES modes, SHA-2, CMAC/HMAC, RSA/ECC signatures, key management. Lab: encrypt a CAN FD payload in C, then protect the 0x244 frame with AES-CMAC and a freshness counter.
  • Pillar 3 – Hardware Trust Anchors, Secure Boot and Diagnostic Access (4 days). SHE/EVITA-class HSMs, secure boot, secure flashing (R156), UDS 0x27/0x29. Lab: build a secure-boot check and break a weak seed-key.
  • Pillar 4 – AUTOSAR Security, SecOC and Intrusion Detection (4 days). CSM, CryIf, Crypto Driver, SecOC, KeyM; ara::crypto, IAM, IDS. Lab: protect a PDU with SecOC and defeat the replay attack.
  • Pillar 5 – ISO/SAE 21434, TARA and Vulnerability Management (7 days). Work products, CSMS, R155/R156, interface agreements, post-development, SBOM and vulnerability management. Lab: run a complete TARA on a connected ECU.
  • Pillar 6 – Regulation, Homologation and Audit Readiness (3 days). AIS-189/190, CMVR, ARAI, ICAT, UNECE, FMVSS, GTRs, type approval. Lab: mock R155/AIS-189 audit, capstone and certification practice exam.

Certification pathway

The syllabus and practice exam are mapped to the knowledge areas of the Automotive Cybersecurity Professional (ACP, certified by TÜV Rheinland), the SAE International / TÜV SÜD Automotive Cybersecurity Certification (Level One / Two) and TÜV SÜD’s Certified Automotive Cybersecurity Practitioner (CACSP). Micromotiv is independent of these bodies; exam registration and fees are handled directly with them.

Proven with an OEM engineering team
